I do agree but the hideous creatures that lie underneath those blood black cloaks will be demolished into an eternity of ruthless murder. All shall hail the murderer, thyself, and forever thou shall be faithful.

That is a promise I cannot keep. You see, my wisdom continues to flourish, but I only talk in riddles to get you thinking and make you even wiser. You'll see.

Creative is the Xenomorph lifecycle from the Alien Quadrilogy and AVP. The Ra’zac lifecycle is more candid, as the beasts are insectoid and their life cycle follows a similar pattern of any other bug. This is not saying that they are completely insect like.

*roots for the Lethrblaka*
I like them more than the Dragons, as the dragons seem smug and dominating about their abilities. Anyway, who doesn’t like grey demonic beasts that prey off humanity and the like? I find them refreshing and mysterious, not to mention being part insect giving them the ability to reverse the perpetual "bottom of the food chain" factor.

PU!! With parents that smell like theirs do, how can the Raz'ac be anything BUT evil? If anyone wonders about the smell I'm talking about, look at the chapter in Eldest when the Raz'ac capture Sloan and Katrina.

I remember when i was young in 1777. I remember being a powerless man that could not control my fate much less that of the people around me. I temember hearing the howls of the wolves and wishing i could run with them. And then came that faithful day when i was attacked by a lone wolf looking for food. It turns out what he called a curse was a blessing to me. I was finally able to run with the wolves not just in my imagination but in reality with four paws of my own. I was no longer a mere man or a victim of fate but a creature of the night, an immortal, A WereWolf.

They're bird like so they might be sorta frigthening but they do have some qualities to them like being able to sorta disable a human into not moving with their breathe or something like that?

Ra'zacs are definitely a wonderful character in the Inheritance Trilogy books. Still, it was mentioned in the book that those Ra'zac have eyes that shines intelligence which can be matched by a dragon's. MEGA COOL but I still hate them. Talking of Ra'zacs, I find the Urgals kinda normal unlike those stupid "half bird-half Lizard-half bugs-half whatever". Did you guys notice a part in the book where Eragon searches the mind of an Urgal warchief? And he saw how the warchief's dam (mother) combing his hair and singing a song to lull him to sleep when he's young? Awfully human, maybe they aren't as evil as how humans thought. I mean... at least they don't EAT humans and they WERE controlled by DURZA last time.... Juz a thought.

I really like the way Christopher Paolini described the Ra'zac and their life cycle. It was very creative and definatley his own idea.
