Because I couldn't think of a better title XD

We are allowed to post fics about existing characters, right? Anyway, here's my boredom-induced fanfiction. It takes place in a total non - canon area, Eragon just wandering around, in an Alagaesia where everything is happy and either Galby has been defeated or nobody cares about his evilness.

Eragon being Angsty

Eragon walked slowly along the dusty ground. The Varden were somewhere, a league or two to the west. Saphira was hunting, and trying to tutor Thorn, who had spent the day happily following her around like a puppy - like Saphira had once done with Glaedr. Murtagh was with Nasuada, helping her with whatever plans the Varden had. Eragon had no idea where Roran and Katrina were, and frankly, he couldn't care less. The only thing Eragon cared about at the time was himself.

Why. He thought.

It was more of a statement than a question. For Eragon, that the the thing he always said to himself. Why everything. Why had he been chosen. Why did his uncle die. Why did Arya constanty refuse him.

It's not that I'm not grateful. But if Saphira had never come along, Garrow wouldn't have died. Roran wouldn't have developed a hate for me. I wouldn't have felt all this hurt.

He never stopped thinking about Arya. Her long, black eyelashes. Her even, perfect skin. Her long, shimmering raven tresses. Her perfectly sculpted eyebrows. Any time he mentioned anything, anthing about the two of them, it would always be the same response. No.

"Eragon."

Eragon's head snapped up. Arya stood in front of him, her deep eyes boring into him. Eragon inhaled swiftly. He clenced his hands into fists and felt salty tears run into his eyelids.

"Arya" He replied coolly.

"You seem... distracted"

"I was thinking."

She narrowed her intelligent eyes and stared intently at him. Eragon blinked back his tears as her eyes bored into him.

"What were you thinking about?"

"You."

"Eragon, I...."

"No. Arya, I can't face another rejection. You know. You knew that was what I was thinking. You know I never stop thinking about you."

"I'm moved."

"You-You are? Does that mean we-"

"Eragon!" She interrupted. "No it doesn't. I can't. we are not meant to be."

"That doesn't mean we... can't..."

Arya closed her eyes and turned around. She slowly walked away, leaving Eragon to fall to his knees in the dust. He let his tears fall for once. Not just that one, emotionless tear. He let them stream down his face, drip onto his knees, and form dirty droplets on the ground.

"FINE!" He screamed. "TORTURE ME LIKE THIS!"

Arya turned around. Her face was just visible beneath her glittering locks. She stepped a little closer to him, and said sternly:

"You are causing this torture. Just let me go"

Eragon wiped his eyes with the back of his sleeve. He sniffed, and stepped to his feet, feeling a sudden wave of anger and hate towards Arya.

"You're more evil than all the Forsworn." He hissed, and walked away.

Eragon had not walked half a league when he realised what he had done. He felt Saphira push her way into his thoughts.

Eragon...

No.

You have to apologize...

No.

Eragon!

Leave me alone.

He stared hard at the ground, leaving her to drift away, and pondered the best way to handle things. There were so many ways to handle things. He could demand he was right. He could say sorry.

I'll go. He thought, simply.

And Eragon walked away, leaving all thoughts behind him.

yeah, that was a bit weird, like a written, ufinished scene in the books or something, i think it was alright though.............

That actually made me laugh! I'm pretty sure CP won't put anything like this in the book. If he does, well, that would be really weird.
