I can't believe it, but I got to page 430 in the book and a section from page 431 to 462 is missing and replaced by copies of pages 207 to 238!!! I have been so immersed in the story that I am feeling antsy and awful without being able to go on and I have to wait till the stores open tomorrow to replace the book. Am I the only one to get so caught up in this story? I am new to this forum and hoping it helps to fill the time when I am finishing Eldest and waiting for the next book. What to do, what to do? I have had all sorts of theories and ideas since starting Eragon and I am waiting to see what happens. I am afraid to read any of the teaser posts for fear of spoiling the surprise. I bought "Eragon" at the local bookstore in our small town. They did not have "Eldest" in stock, so I went to another town to a WalMart. When I discovered the defect at 10PM last night, I wanted to scream. I went back to the WalMart to exchange the book, only to find out they had no more!!!!!!! I got my money back and luckily, the local bookstore had two in stock - yeah. I bought one and now I am eagerly finishing the book. It is going to be sad, though, when I am finished because I don't want the story to end. I did get the book "Eragon" on cd from the library and I will listen to it, all 16 plus hours of it.
