Re: Alagaesia
Very nice! Where did you find the map...? It's not on Brisingr, isn't it?
Oh and,, talking about Alagaesia
I have this one thing confusing my mind,,
Why is everything in the book was about Alagaesia...?? The dragons, the heroes, the elves, even the villains? Before any of you state something like, "It's obvious!" perhaps I need to convey my message a bit clearer.....
Hmmm..
Alagaesia is the continent, right? That's premise one (still need clarification though) That means there are places around the planet, other places. With other forces, creatures.. other stories. I mean--for centuries,, why didn't any of creature in Alagaesia, not even the almighty Galbatorix, tried to spread their/his/her wings and explore the ocean/ the southern beors/ the northern jungle... to find,, I don't know, foreign/ magical/ new/ interesting probably powerful stuff??
Especially Galbatorix who is always obsessed with power. Why didn't he tried to... I don't know,, do some "research" outside Alagaesia to find out if he could use something to benefit him...?
I really don't understand... why people actually stopped right there while actually they can explore so much more...?? Magellans, Colombus... they all explorers. I never heard any of Alagaesian.
I'm really *ReALLy* curious! Unless I take it wrong,, did it mention somewhere in the book(s)??

No, i can't remember that ever being mentioned in the books. maybe galbatorix plans to explore other lands sometime.

Re: Alagaesia
umm... what if the map is just .... drowed? like ... work of imagination.
i don't belive that it really is from a continent from earth. And - i don't think that whole Alagaësia is as big as an continent. Maybe like a big island, like Madagascar or something ... xD

Re: Alagaesia
I have to say that this image is most probably fake since it is apparent that it is based on the widely available alagaesia map image online. How do I know that? I published that original which is widely used online I created this map over 5 years ago by scanning each sides of my Eragon copy and then sticking them together. The step that can really identify my version of the map is the different font for the name of the locations. Compare it to the original in one of the copies of the book and you will notice the difference. I would have to look on my hard drive if you want to original psd file. What brings me to think that this map is based on the one I publish is that if you look at the top middle part of the map you will see that it is much darker, a mistake which occured on my scanner due to it being farther from the lens
