Post RPGC - The Demon's Return
OOC: Ok for this one, it's going to be before Bahamut met Syllwin so that he has no influence. So Astral if you do or dont want to join this it doesnt matter to me. I really hope this is going to be my best one yet. Let it begin.

Bahamut was flying as fast as he could, trying to out manuver the two dragons behind him. It was difficult since he recieve several wounds from earlier. Suddenly one of them breathed fire towards him, he rapidly ascended higher into the air. The other dragon was there to meet him and they both clashed into eachother. Clawing eachother madly and snapping at eachother's neck. Bahamut elbowed the dragon in the forehead and moved behind him. Locking his arms around him, he flipped over and began to free fall head on towards the earth. It did not take them long due to the large amount of weight. They landed with a giant crash and broke the earth benethe them.
Bahamut strugged to his feet and released his grip on the dragon who had gone limp. Before he could regain balance, the other dragon body-slammed into him. Locking up at eachother, they rolled across the ground. With great strength, Bahamut held off both of the dragon's arms with one of his own. With his free arm, he held the struggling opponent's neck out and he lunged with his maw. Blood sprayed as Bahamut tore through the dragon's flesh with his fangs. He tore away afterwards and the other dragon remained still. To one's disgust, Bahamut swallowed the flesh that was hanging in his mouth and wiped his blood-stained lips with his tongue. Next he unfolded his wings and took to the air. What was waiting for him out of the crater caught him off guard. Several groups of elves and dragons surrounded him. The leaders of each came forward. The elf was mounted on the dragon. The sight of it disgusted Bahamut.

So.. first war and now this pitiful agreement to rode like mindless beasts? What has the dragons fallen to?
The elf spoke, Bahamut, your evils will stop today. Both races has had enough of the bloodshed you have caused. Your punishment will be as equivelent to the suffering you have caused. To be imprisoned for all time.

Let's see you try! Bahamut roared out and charged at the large group. The elves began chanting and all the dragons began to glow their respective scale colors. Streams of light came from all of them and flew at Bahamut and all of the streams struck Bahamut in the stomach. Then they began to surround him like chains. He was bounded and his body flew towards the wasteland of the Hadarac. He crashed into a cave and he was knocked out. The glowing light chains released from him and surrounded the cave walls to form a seal.

Bahamut awoke from his dream. Finding himself ontop of a rock formation in an area above Surda. He stretched out his neck and yawned. These dreams of his tormented him in his slumber and could find no peace from it. Hungry, Bahamut took flight to the north in search of food. Flying over the plains he saw several deer and he began to chase after them. He caught several and piled them up before him. Greedily he ate and he finished quickly.

Once he finished, there was something in the area that caught his attention. A disturbance like he never felt before. Scanning around, he wanted to find the source of it. Suddenly the ground began to shake violently benethe him. The earth began to crack and give way. In reaction, Bahamut took flight and hovered above the area. A large hole in the ground appeared revealing a sub level tunnel. He could feel something seeping out of it. Curious, he went down underground. He searched around and found something that he had never seen before. It was a pool of dark energy. It looked like purplish-black...the sight of it bothered him. Still he moved closer to the edge of the pool and knelt down. At that moment the pool came alive and lunged at Bahamut. The liquid suroound Bahamut, swallowing him whole. It morphed into him and changed him. His eyes turned dark purple and left same-colored markings all over his body.

Yes....finally a suitable host... with this body we shall return this world to the shadows as it began. The new form of Bahamut flew out of the tunnel and went south. As he was flying, trails of dark energy seeped from his wings and falling to the ground. The energy began to tainted the land. It continued to do so wherever Bahamut flew.

OOC: Sorry if I cant italic the speaking. The thing is acting weird by always scrolling to the top whenver I type something or attempt to highlight things.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Donnovan had begun to feel the effects of his fasting. No longer did his stomach growl. It roared with the ferocity of one thousand angry dragons. He needed sustenance, and he needed it soon. He was beginning to find it difficult even to take to the sky, and that was dangerous. If confronted with an enemy, how would he escape? It was true, Surda was meant to be a fairly neutral area. But he knew from a distance he resembled Shruikan to a fatal extent. His existence had been kept a secret from the general population, even after his rider's death. Therefore as far as the world was concerned, a black dragon meant Galbatorix was near.

Of course, it was true that he wasn't black. Donnovan happened to be a dark shade of grey that could be easily mistaken for black. His eyes set him apart as well, for Shruikan didn't have icy blue eyes. But many people had never seen Galbatorix's stolen dragon, and therefore couldn't have told him from Donnovan if their lives depended on it.

That was not the issue today. Today, the issue was food. Surda wasn't exactly the most heavily wooded area, so coming by creatures like deer would be difficult. But surely he could steal livestock, as he had taken to doing whenever possible. After all, who wanted to exert their energy hunting when it could be better spent elsewhere?

With a great yawn that exposed his ivory like fangs, Donnovan uncurled from a position of sleep and stood on heavily muscled legs. He proceeded with caution, expanding his mind to search for two-legs and their animals alike. He found various desert lizards and toads, but nothing of interest, until a goat caught his attention. He assumed it must have wandered away from its herd. It was only a few yards from him, and he was surprised it hadn't run yet. It wasn't like it would get a chance to. He sprang forward and extended his neck as far as he could. In three strides he had caught it between his jaws and snapped it up. A trickle of blood ran down his muzzle and dropped to the ground. Irritated, he caught the trail with his barbed tongue, unwilling to have his lustrous scales dulled by any filth.

He didn't think the goat would hold him over for long, but it would do for now. He stretched his neck and wings, wishing more than anything he could return to his former life. Nothing called to him more than the fight, than striking down legions of men with a single blow from his tail, than bathing an entire army in the flames from his maw. Most of all, he missed Fernir upon his back, battling seamlessly as one, their lives inextricable from one another. With a bitter hiss, he reminded himself never to forgive the Varden for what had happened. They were at fault, and he would strike them all down and devour their bodies. Even that of the dragon Saphira.

Absorbed in his mournful musings as he was, he didn't sense the presence approaching until it surely could see him. He closed his mind quickly and raised his head in a positon of aggression, acting instinctively. Then he saw the dragon fly over his head. It was a strange color, and a strange subtance seeped from it. But the fact of it was, it was another dragon. With a roar of excitement, he pushed off from the ground with his back legs and shot into the air, flying at full speed. He didn't unshield his mind just yet; he didn't know that he could trust this creature. But from the scent on the air, he could tell it was a male, and he didn't smell human nor elf on it. Perhaps it was a wild dragon? The idea was thrilling. Maybe he could teach him how to be a riderless dragon.

He caught up after some effort and flew alongside him, his head lowered submissively and jaws tightly shut. Every motion radiated the fact that he didn't want to fight. He extended his mind cautiously, ready to withdraw at any second, but hopeful that his reception would be positive.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
OOC: Sorry for not joining sooner, had to think of a reason for Aeraldi to notice.

Aeraldi flew with the twins, Polaris and Saiph over the cities of the land. He showed the two where to eat, where to drink and where to land if they needed rest. He was still angry at the two for not staying in the nest where it was safe in the times of battle, but he knew he had to teach the children about the world eventually. They wouldn't be safe forever.
Now, just below us is the Surdan border. The place where the Empire meets Surda. I know it's not much to look at, but when you cross that line you are in a safer territory. He told them about the war, about what Galbatorix had done and why they had to stay out of it. He told them about the other wars happening in the world too, about the wars that involved those they had already fought and those they had only heard about.
If only to keep them safe. He thought to himself.

But why can't we help Eragon and Saphira? Polaris asked innocently.
If we all were to help him, then the war could be over now! Saiph continued.
Aeraldi shook his head, it was still confusing when the two spoke as if they were one. When Aeraldi had asked them to stop they just improved their efforts. Because it is not our task, it is theirs. We all have our tasks, mine is to keep you safe which means I still have to tell you which people to avoid and which will help you. A small presence in the back of his mind told him someone was near, someone familiar.
Speaking of, I'd like to introduce you to Bahamut. He's unpredictable, so it would be best to avoid him but he still is a good dragon. Just don't make fun of his appearance, he's a little edgy about that. Aeraldi began to fly towards Bahamut, using his sight to see him clearly. Though when he did, he almost stopped. He could see that Bahamut was different, and there was something about him that wasn't him.
I want you two to head back to the nest, now! Aeraldi instructed. And I won't hear any complaints from you or I swear you won't be flying for a week!

But, Dad! Saiph said hurt, his eyes widening.
I said go! I won't have you two harmed. With that, Aeraldi took off at his maximum speed towards Bahamut leaving the twins behind.

We have to follow him. Polaris said immediately to Saiph after their father left them.
You bet, lets go. Saiph and Polaris took off, heading towards Bahamut with what speed they could manage. It still annoyed them how their father could fly so fast and not explain how to do it to them.

Aeraldi hoped that his children wouldn't come, but then again the punishment he set if they disobeyed would be quite painful to them. That was when he noticed another dragon flying alongside Bahamut. He wondered who the dragon was as he had not seen him before, but those questions would be answered later. Right now, things were being set in motion and he was one of the few who knew about it.
Bahamut! Where are you going? He called out as soon as he was in range.

As the new form of Bahamut was flying his course, another dragon flew along side of him. Even something small and annoying as this set him off. Bahamut roared out, his maw dripped of the black-substance liquid. Spinning about to face the other dragon, he charged him and grabbed him by the neck. With great force he dragged the dragon down and threw him into a large rock formation.

Satisfied, Bahamut hovered back up and looked down where the dragon was. Finally he turned away and tried to continued when another dragon, Aeraldi wasnt far from him.
This angered him even more, all these intended to block his path? Enraged, shadow energy surrounded him and he flew full speed towards Aeraldi.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Donnovan had not been expecting a warm welcome and an invitation to be nestmates, especially considering the other dragon was male. But he also hadn't been expecting so vicious a fight. He squeaked in pain like the hatchling he was when he was grabbed by the neck and folded his wings close to his body to prevent them being harmed. He hit the rock with a thunderous thud that made every muscle in his body ache. But he wasn't done yet. He wouldn't settle for being treated like a mere pest. Many older and wiser dragons would have known to back off, to be content with the fact that they were simply still alive. Donnovan, on the other hand, was young and quick tempered. With a roar of fury, he was in the air again after just a few moments of recuperation. He would be ready this time; he wouldn't allow himself to be bested.

He opened his jaws and let out a stream of blistering flame, a challenge. Though he was heavily dwarfed by his opponent, he was tenacious, and above all else, vicious. That coupled with the fact that he didn't care whether he lived or died made him a ticking timebomb. Talons outstretched like an owl about to capture a rabbit, he flapped his wings harder, doing his best to gain speed. True, the bleeding wound in his neck hurt, but since when had pain ever stopped him?

Aeraldi's eyes widened as Bahamut charged at him, and he rolled away in the air attempting to avoid the massive form of Bahamut. He did manage to avoid Bahamut's grip, but he didn't avoid his talons which made large wounds on Aeraldi's underbelly. The wound hurt fiercely and Aeraldi could help but roar in pain.
What has gotten into you Bahamut!? He cried as he circled around to face his now enemy. He reached into the magic he held and healed what wounds he could. The magic of this era confused him to no end and still eluded his complete grasp. But it was all he needed. He saw the other dragon attacked Bahamut with fury, and decided to warn him.
Careful! He's not in his right mind and he is far stronger than he looks! Aeraldi breathed in and dived for Bahamut, using his speed to get past Bahamut's claws and to the dragon.

Polaris and Saiph kept flying, eager to see what had their father so uptight. A week without flight? He can't keep us on the ground when he's not there.
I don't know... Saiph said back, Remember he can always have mom do it.
Polaris shivered at the thought of their mother's punishment.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
OOC: Oh, so Phal's the tough parent? lol   8)

IC: Phal followed her instincts, and the trail of dark magic that lay across the land. When her eyes finally rested upon the culprit, her eyes widened in shock. Miles below her, she could make out a shape that was clearly Bahamut. When she zoomed in on it as closely as she could with her vision, she confirmed what she had believed. Something was horribly wrong with him, though. His scales were covered in deep purple markings, and his body was radiating dark magic. Something else was exerting some sort of control over him, that much was certain. Phal could think of no plausible reason for Bahamut to choose this form and taint the land, and this magic was unlike the shadow magic she usually saw.

Phal flapped faster, fighting the wild air currents of the high altitudes she traveled in. Her large wings angled and tilted to catch or spill just the right amount of air. Though her flight was stable, it was not as fast as she wanted it to be. Bahamut was moving quickly. She frowned in concern when another dragon; an unknown one; approached the unstable Bahamut. The younger, smaller dark gray male did not seem to pose a great threat. The fact that he was unfamiliar was also a worry to Phal. She knew most of the dragons in Alagaesia, and knew what many were like. She wouldn't be able to predict the actions of this one, not yet.

As she was surveying the distant ground for other dragons, her wings tensed as she noticed three familiar shapes. One was her mate, and two, her children. Phal breathed out a sigh of relief as Aeraldi noticed the change in Bahamut and made Polaris and Saiph remain behind, but her eyes narrowed when they continued on after a pause. She shook her head. I'll have a word with them later, she thought in exasperation.

With no more thoughts necessary, Phal curved her flight into an upward arch that ended with her pulling in her wings neatly and diving. The graceful dive turned into a wild free-fall as Phal's height and sleek scales accelerated her to tremendous speeds. A brilliant, starry glow appeared and radiated from her scales. Phal slowly opened her wings, and began to spin slowly to lessen her speed. She eventually pulled up from her dive and came up exactly on her target; a few hundred feet from Bahamut's head. She surged forward, seeing the dark gray dragon and her mate both injured. Beware! There is a dark taint on Bahamut, and I do not know what it is, she cried. Aeraldi would realize that she meant she could not predict its actions or find its weaknesses.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
When Bahamut saw that the first dragon returned and angry, he responded by moving away from Aeraldi and headed to his original opponent and charged him once more. With a swing of his right arm, he dealt a heavy blow across the face. His enemy stunned, Bahamut grappled him into a bear hug. In response he could feel the dragons claws go deep into his back. Groaning in pain, but ignoring it he kept pressing. However the dragons claws went even deeper and blood dripped in heavy amount. The blood was black and smelled of decay.
Bahamut relented and released the dragon and pushed him off, pulling the claws out.

The blood on Donnovan's claws began to react to his touch. It began to spead around his claws and attempted to taint him.

His fury burned in his chest like a furnace. Donnovan's temper was one that was easily ignited, and he was in no mood to relent. Dimly, he heard a warning to back off, but he did not heed it. His focus was on his opponent, even though he knew he was much too small to make any real difference. Even if he just ripped through the skin of his wing he'd be happy.

That was not exactly how things happened, however. His heart began to thud madly with fear, being enclosed by the other dragon's forelegs. He squirmed and shrieked and did the first thing he could think of - he dug his claws into the dragon's scaly back. It was no longer about wounded pride. There was a terrible stench about this creature, and every instinct begged him to get away and not to look back. When he was released, that was exactly what he did. He dove to the ground and stood there, breathing heavily. It took him a moment to realize the dark substance creeping up his legs. He hissed in surprise and began madly, feverishly, rubbing his feet and forelegs against the grass. Red flags went up in his head, one after another, telling him just a moment too late that he'd picked the wrong fight.

After several minutes of effort he stopped and rose to his feet again. An evil purple pattern had embedded itself on his legs and snaked up to his chest, slowly spreading so that he looked as though he had rolled in luminescent purple paint. A deep growl rumbled from his chest as his own mind was dulled and another presence crept in.

Aeraldi watched in horror as the other dragon was slowly consumed by the taint that had dripped from Bahamut. His confidence wavered as he considered the taint that dipped from him and what it did.
Just got to be careful. He thought to himself. But what am I to do against a foe I neither know or can predict? I'll just treat it like Shadow corruption. Aeraldi charged at Bahamut again, using agility instead of strength to overcome the mighty dragon. He had a split second to think about Phalynx and what she could do, but this was something she didn't know either.
Do you know that new dragon? He asked her before engaging Bahamut again.

Phalynx growled as the new dragon was slowly consumed by the shadowy substance. In her sight, it was even more horrifying and disgusting to watch, and she felt slightly sick. She glanced at Aeraldi and shook her head. No, but I think something's inside his mind. I don't think it's gotten ahold yet; I can still get it out, she replied. She had the ability to cast out other, controlling forces from people's minds. It was only effective, though, if the controlling force couldn't come back. Could I burn away the dark substance while defeating it mentally? she wondered, deciding to give it a try.

Phal swooped down and blew a thin, concentrated jet of starfire over the other dragon's chest, shielding the rest of him from the effects of the flame by arrowing its magic straight towards the dark taint. The purple markings flashed angrily, and pulsed as something tried to fight the light magic. Before waiting for the effects, Phal dove into the other dragon's mind to assess the situation. She flared her own mind brightly to help ward off the dark, evil presence she felt. This presence is... foreign to me. I have not felt one like it, she said out loud to Aeraldi.

Bahamut was clawing with Aeraldi while the new dragon was becoming tainted. He looked with the corner of his eye and smiled. It soon however vanished when Phalynx attacked the dragon and tried to eradicate the taint he put onto him. Breaking from his current opponent he charged over to Phalynx and crashed into her. The damage was done however, the purple markings on the other dragon had vanished.

Bahamut roared in anger as his new host was taken from him.

OOC: I suppose that would make it my turn.

Aeraldi muttered a curse within his mind before trying to contact Bahamut once again. Bahamut what are you doing?! He yelled before trying to duck and weave his way around the substance dripping from Bahamut's claws.

What can you see? Saiph asked Polaris as he hovered next to his sister.
He's fighting the large strange strange-looking one. Polaris said, using her own version of sight to look at their father. I've never seen him so scary, or mother for that matter.
Mom's there too?! Saiph said in horror, before regaining himself. Maybe we should stay back...
Don't give me that, you want to see this as much as I do. She looked at his brother, showing her teeth in a grin. You know that I know you do.
And you also know that I know that you're as afraid of their punishment as I am. Saiph said with a sigh. Fine, we'll keep watching, but if we get caught I'm blaming you.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Phal felt a moment of triumph as she eradicated the dark presence with a last flare of her mind, but cried out as Bahamut crashed into her. She folded her wings and rolled as she hit the ground. It's a good thing I know how to crash, she muttered angrily as she rolled back upright and jumped into the air, feeling rather bruised. It was more annoying than painful, though, especially coming from someone who had been a friend. Bahamut! I know you're being controlled! And know that this darkness will be gone when we are finished here, she threatened, wondering if the evil controlling him was conscious itself, or if it was just Bahamut's mind but tainted with the evil.

Bahamut ignored the dragon's pleas. The darkness within him swelled and dripped from his body. It craved more victims. It needed to spread in order to gain more hosts. With his dark eyes he looked around. Then something caught his eyes.
Hatchlings...
Bahamut roared out and flew off in the distance towards to very young dragons.

Uh oh... Polaris said, edging away slightly.
I feel your fear, but what's going on? Saiph said, his heart beating faster.
We should go... NOW!
But you sai-
NOW! GO! RUN! Polaris turned and ran, flying as fast as she could manage. Saiph following soon after.
GO! C'MON! GO! Polaris looked behind her, taking in what she could with her sight. Faster! Faster! She was screaming hysterically now, pushing her small wings as hard as they could go.
Saiph followed as best he could, taking what information he could get from Polaris' mind. He soon felt the absolute terror that Polaris was feeling.

Hey! where do you think you're going!? Aeraldi yelled after Bahamut as he flew away. He used his sight to look ahead of Bahamut, if he continued in the same direction. What he saw turned his bones to ice. Polaris... Saiph! He said to himself and Phalynx. You Monster!
Aeraldi dove at Bahamut, careless of the darkness dripping from his claws. He was going to stop Bahamut no matter what, his children were at stake.

Phal's attention snapped toward Bahamut's line of sight, and she felt her blood run cold for a few moments. But in an instant, it turned to fire, and she roared, streaming past Bahamut and overtaking him in less than a second. Think to threaten my children?! Friend or no, you will die if you try anything! she screeched. It was rare, very rare, for Phalynx to lose her temper, but if her family was at stake, she would do anything to keep them safe. She bolted ahead of Bahamut and twisted her body around briefly to let out a massive burst of starfire. She pulled around and streaked after Polaris and Saiph, her scales lighting to brilliance unmatched. Keep flying! The light will make it impossible to locate you behind me! she cried to the twins, keeping the glow so intense that it would hurt to look at her. Bahamut would not be able to see her children with her in the way.

Bahamut schreeched in pain from the intense light. Momentarily he felt Aerialdi crash into him, his claws digged into his chest. Mixture of the dark matter and blood poured out of him as he fell to the ground. Once he hit the earth he vomited up a huge amount of dark matter. Most of it seeped into the ground disappearing.
The markings and dark shade of Bahamut vanished. He coughed even more blood up and he continued to bleed out of his chest. On the verge of passing out, he dropped his head on his side.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Saiph and Polaris flew hard, as hard as they ever had. Harder even. Fear of the gigantic beast flying towards them had driven everything out of their minds except the need to escape. The need to run.
It was during that time when Polaris sprained her wing, Saiph feeling it as much as Polaris did, and both started falling to the ground. Saiph soon realised that it wasn't his wing that was hurt and shut out the pain, along with his sense of Polaris. He could still feel her, yet the ever-present connection that he felt was severely dimmed.
He dove after her, feeling dread in himself that he might not be able to stop her fall. He grabbed her claws, and she grabbed his, and Saiph flared his wings as much as he could to slow down their decent.
I got you!The strain of his wings was immense, yet he could feel them both slowing. As they approached the ground, Sapih flapped his wings a few times and both landed gently on the ground.
I got you... He said gently as he panted from the effort, moving over to comfort his twin sister.
Polaris just curned her neck around Saiph and lay on the ground, sobbing silently. The terror still fresh.
Saiph curled his neck around Polaris and lay on the ground next to her shivering slightly. Neither had ever felt fear like that before and they both knew then that this was what their parents wanted to keep them safe from.

Aeraldi watched the color drain from Bahmut as he vomited it on the ground. He was suddenly worried that he had gone too far, that he might have killed his friend. Bahamut! He said loudly, Bahamut, are you alive? Are you yourself again? He nudged the dragon slightly, trying to get a stir back from him. He wasn't going to risk healing until he knew that Bahamut was himself again.

OOC: Do you want this to continue? Cause I got a good idea and it has to do with the twins

OOC: Uh oh. I don't like that evil look, Aeraldi. lol

IC: Phal watched as Bahamut was attacked by her mate, and then fell from the sky. Darkness was seeping from his wounds, and he suddenly retched up streams of it. The silver glow around her faded, and she watched as the darkness flowed into the ground and dispersed. That thing's not gone yet, she thought warily. She jerked her head around to check on the twins, and she twisted her whole body around anxiously as she saw Polaris falling and Saiph slowing her fall. Both of them landed safely, and Phal narrowed her eyes to zoom up on the young black. She noticed the sprain in Polaris's wing, which must have caused the fall.

Her children safe, she flapped over to Bahamut. Aeraldi was standing next to him anxiously, and Phal landed near him, her own worry growing. I see the darkness leaving him... It seems he is coming back to himself, she said, examining the dragon with concern. He did not look well.

Bahamut groaned in pain. Using as much strength as he could muster, he stood up. He was still bleeding out from the chest. Yet he seemed lightheaded and delusional. He slowly was heading to the earth near where he crashed. Clawing at the ground he state in an exhausted state, Don..t..let....it...es..cape..
Bahamut fell backward and now he was sitting, heavily breathing.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Aeraldi looked around for where the taint went, but without Phalynx's sight, he could only see what was on the surface. His eyes trailed the surface of the ground until they rested on his children. He could feel that they were alright physically, but he knew that this experience would make them feel scared beyond belief. The taint left Aeraldi's mind as he became distracted by the well-being of his children.
He moved quickly on the ground to the place where Polaris and Saiph lay beside each other, comforting each other. He thought briefly on how when he was broken that he was still comforted by the other side. He lay down next to them and lay his wing over the top of them.
It's ok, I'm here now. He said in the most reassuring voice he could, though he was sure that the twins noticed.

Polaris felt his father's wing wrap around her, a comforting pressure around her. Protecting her. I... I.... She said in breaths, barely able to form the words in her mind. Saiph felt her terror, though he tried to be strong like his father.
Sshh... I'm here now, I won't let anything bad happen to you.
And me? Saiph's voice sounded strange, though Aeraldi didn't pay mind to it.
You both, I promise.
Then you've already broken one promise. Saiph opened his mouth and clamped down on Aeraldi's wing, puncturing it.
Aeraldi roared in pain, recoiling himself away from the pain. What's gotten into you!? He demanded as he inspected the wound. As he looked back, he knew.
Saiph stared at Aeraldi fiercely, the taint that had once infected Bahamut now dripping from Saiph. Join me sister. He said, wiping his claws over Polaris.
The taint entered quickly into Polaris and soon enough, she too was standing and facing Aeraldi and the others. That's two promises you've broken.

Aeraldi watched in terror as the taint spread from Saiph to Polaris. My children... He felt weak in his bones, all his strength faded away so quickly that he barely managed to keep himself on his feet. Polaris... Saiph... GET OUT OF THEM!! He wanted to rip apart this taint until it begged for mercy, but it was inside his children. His Children. He could never raise a claw against them.

As Bahamut collapsed back to the ground, Phal nodded. Before she started searching, though, she looked over his chest wounds. She couldn't let her friend bleed out like this. She drew in the magic surrounding her, which was luckily quite a bit, and drew it over Bahamut's worst wounds to heal them. The largest slashes closed up, and the rapid bleeding ceased. With that done, she examined the place she had seen the dark taint disappear.

Phal found it quickly, and watched it as it moved, racing toward where it was going. Suddenly, her head jerked up. The taint was moving towards her family! She jumped ahead, ready to call a warning, but before she could it moved into Saiph. No! Aeraldi! Saiph is infected! she cried, but it was already too late. Her son was staring at her mate, and Polaris had already been infected by her twin. NO!! Phal screamed, running forward and stopping beside Aeraldi. She extended her mind with reckless abandon into her childrens', wildly attacking at the darkness.

Bahamut's eyes shot open and he urged himself upward. His whole body ached in pain, but he ignored it. Stumbing to his feet he made his way to where Phal, Aeraldi and the two twins were. It was just as he feared. The twins had become infected. He looked at Phal quickly and realized she was trying to enter their minds. Bahamut shoved a hand over her face to get her attention. He spoke weakly, You cannot get rid of it by entering the mind. It is a mindless parasite that uses the intellect of the host. If you shatter the mind, you only harm the host...not the taint itself. It only leaves if it feels threatened that the host is going to die. It knows that either of you wont harm it through the mind of the twins.

Post Re: RPGC - The Demon's Return
Both Saiph and Polaris stood beside each other, both mirroring the other's movements. Their colors shifted slightly, Saiph becoming more black, Polaris becoming more white. Both still had a fierce look in their eyes and both seemed to be smiling.

Aeraldi took a step forward, then a step backwards. He wanted to rip the corruption out of them, annihilate it! But he couldn't bring himself to hurt the poor children.

If you won't make the first move, Polaris said first, then allow us! Saiph charged with Polaris on his heels. Both jumped onto Aeraldi and bit down hard on his wings. The taint oozing from their jaws and seeping into Aeraldi.

Aeraldi roared with pain, shaking himself of the latched dragons from instinct. He shook off Polaris first, then Saiph, both of them hitting the ground hard. He realized what he had done soon after and ran towards them to see if they were alright. Then he felt the taint within himself, twisting his mind. I will not be changed! I will not change! He screamed inside his own mind, staggering to the side as he became light-headed. He shook his head fiercely, hitting the ground a few times.
NO! My magic protects me! I WILL NOT FALL! He swiped the air around him, as if fighting off an unseen combatant. I have dealt with more pain than this! I have had the presence of another in my mind! I won't bow to you! The taint fought hard, struggling to take a hold of the new body it had come into contact with.

Phalynx growled at Bahamut's words, unwilling to give up so easily. Surely with her light magic she could combat the darkness. She wasn't entering solely through their minds. However, the large dragon had distracted her, and the twins suddenly sprang at Aeraldi. He shook them off, but the dark taint was already seeping into his blood. Aeraldi! Phal cried, rushing toward him. She forgot all caution and surged into his mind, helping to block the darkness' control. At the same time, she mixed her light magic with a version of healing magic, and started attacking at the darkness itself. She didn't care if it could only leave by itself or not, she would not have her family consumed!
