Kariana was sitting in the sand. The Island of Sharktooth's beaches were not the best she had seen. The sand was coarse and rough, the sea was freezing cold. It didn't bother her, for the fire inside her never allowed the cold to creep into her feelings, but she knew she would much rather be in the Hadarac right then. A bitter wind whipped up dirt off the barren landscape, which swirled in the air like a mini tornado for a second, before scattering, some bouncing off of her hard amethyst scales, causing a sound like a violent rainstorm to be carried off into the air. The coast of the mainland could be seen as a faint dark line on the horizon, like a long thick line drawn across the top of the waves. Normally, it would not be visible to the naked eye, but Kariana's sharp vision enabled her to see huge distances, especially across the murky sea. Feeling gloomy and mentally lost, she swiveled around, searching for signs of life. An empty feeling gnawed at her stomach, and she feared it would soon consume her heart, and eventually her mind. Nothing lay around her except for a sparse forest not far away, with lifeless spindly trees stretching up for what little sunlight they could get during midday. Beyond that was a steep wall of dark unwelcoming granite, marked all over with natural caves. It loomed above the treetops like a gigantic beast threatening to crush the pitiful environment. She absent mindedly drew a small circle in the ground with one massive ivory claw, deepening the pattern every time she retraced it. Finally, Kariana hoisted herself up, and spread her dark wings. She bent her back legs, preparing to labouriously launch herself off the unstable ground to go hunting, when a flicker of movement off to the left caught her eye. Silently, she tucked her wings back against her bulking frame, and surveyed the landscape, her huge amethyst eyes flickering rapidly from left to right.

'' Blade move to left quickly and look out for a cave so we can wait until this storm dies down''said Blaser. Blaser had been told to go on a hoilday on Sharktooth island to relax a bit because he'd been under alot of stress. A bolt of lightning almost hit Blades wing. '' That was close theres a large cave over there try to get some wood on the way'' shouted Blaser. Blade swooped down and picked up a tree in his claws and landed in a cave.

'' We'll sleep here tonight lay that tree on the ground ''. Blade followed his commands and layed the tree on the floor. Blaser then chopped up the tree and made a pile with firewood. Then Blaser said '' brisingr '' and the fire was alight. Then he and Blade slept.

Ahmed was eager to reach Alagaesia. He kept constantly looking outward to look for land. all he saw though was a single island which depressed him. He was on a large immigrant vessel heading for port. But Ahmed being an immigrant, he was not that welcome with the crew. As he looked out to the island from the side of the ship, one crew member snuck up on him. Before Ahmed could react, he threw him off the boat. The crew and even some other passengers laughed as Ahmed swam to the island. All he did though was look back once and make sure that his items were still in his pocketed pants and cloak.

IC- Kariana bent her knees instinctively, though it was incredibly hard to hide such a large dragon in a barren place like this. Looking to the sea, she saw that she had been correct. Some sort of creature was swimming vigorously on the surface, nearly at the land. Focusing more carefully, she saw it was a person, but elf, human or dwarf she could not tell for the swirling water consuming his form.

Stealthily, Kariana made her way towards the waves, peering closely all the time, having forgotten about her hunger. Surely he couldn't have swum all the way from the mainland? That was when she spotted it- a boat on the distant horizon.
Mutiny? she wondered. Perhaps. Or maybe just an unfortunate crew member.

OCC: after this post ill wait and see if someone else replies.


IC: Ahmed was still swimming. it was harder as the weight of his sword and bow and arrows was dragging him. He stopped for a second to look at the island he swam toward. He spotted something making its way to the water and he was amazed and frightened at the same time. It was going to the water. He was wondering if it was going to attack him or just watch him. Ahmed advanced cautiously.

Ioksok looked down from the back of his dragon, to see a large ship. Fang banked back an forth looking at the strange object What is that? Fang roared in his head.
Ioksok looked down "What where?" he asked swivleling his head side to side like a periscope. He spoted a small dark shape trying to make its way to the bitter island Sharktooth. "Let's get a better look." Ioksok called over the thunder of Fangs wing beats.
The giant red dragon banked and spirled down so he could drag his front feet in the water if he wanted to. It's a man! Ioksok heard the cry in his head as they flew over the swimming man.
Ioksok landed Fang not to far away from the strange man, and asked as he was bobbing up and down "Do you need any help?"

Kariana looked on in awe. A dragon- and rider had apparently landed in the water. Something incredibly strange was going on.

Being tired of not knowing about what was going on here, she snapped and roared from deep in her throat, straining her neck upwards as the sound echoed across the vast expanse of water.

A bitter wind whipped around the sea, and began to draw waves ever higher, so sometimes the beings in the sea were concealed completely from view.

Kariana splayed her wings impressively, feeling them billow slightly against the wind, and let out a short bellow once more. Having been around for so many years, her wingspan had reached a massive size, and gave her a much more fearful appearance.

Heaving herself upwards, the dragon reared onto her back legs to be able to see better, feet sinking into the compact sand, and leaving enormous dinosaur-like footprints.

Ahmed heard and saw the whole thing. He was amazed at seeing dragons. Back at his village, they were being talked about all the time in all their glory. He wanted to see one and now he did. However he didnt know wether it was friendly or not. Ahmed swam around to another part of the island and after a small bit he was almost to the shore.

Fang waited until he was on top up a wave then took off in an awsome display of ruby wings. With Fang flying low over the water, Ioksok looked down over the man and landed on the same streach of shore he was heading for. Ioksok dismounted and walked around a bit to streach his legs waiting for the man to get to shore.

Ahmed finally reached shore. It wasnt hard for him to stand up and then he glared back at the ship which was almost out of sight. Ahmed growled but then stopped as he turned around. He was face to face with a dragon and rider. he looked between them both and then waited for a reaction.

Meanwhile, Kariana noticed them changing direction, and immediately felt an urge to find out what was going on. In an instant, she pushed off from the ground, toes sinking and making half-metre long impressions in the sand.

Wings splayed, she pushed down and steadily gained height. The wind had grown slightly stronger, buffeting her a little, but not enough to drive her off course.

Gliding carelessly, Kariana scanned the coastline. It wasn't hard to spot the stunning red dragon on the shore not far from where she had been, and by the looks of it, the other two were with it. Cautiously, she stayed in the air for a while, trying to pick out any hostility there might be. Despite her size, she wasn't keen to get into a fight, especially if they were magic users.

After a short wile of decision-making, the dragon tucked her wings in a little, and ripped towards the ground, billowing out the membranous wings at the last minute to catch a cushion of air, and guarantee her a safe landing. She came into contact with the ground not far from where the others were, and didn't growl or bare her teeth, as she was still curious as to who they were, and didn't wish to provoke threats.

Ioksok looked the strange man up and down, then said "Hey, where did you come from?" Fang growled low in his throat as Kariana landed not to far away. Ignoring the dragon "What is your name?" he asked.
You have to let him ansewr before you ask him another question, the dragon boomed in his head.
Ioksok's stance shifted and he put his hand on his sword as he noticed that the strange man was armed.

When ahmed saw that the rider put his hand on his sword, he drew his an gave it a profesional twirl and then pointed it at him. "I wouldnt do that if i were you." he warned. "However i am Ahmed. I dont know why you want to know but i have been banished off my immigrant ship. and left on this island to die." ahmed also watched the dragon to watch any sudden moves it might make.

OOC- Is Fang red? In your bio it says green... oh well.

IC- Kariana gazed at the stunningly coloured dragon. She had seen only a few of her own kind before, and most of them wild dragons who were far older than her before they had been killed by Galbatorix. Judging by the size of this rider's dragon, she guessed he was at least 150 years younger, probably much more...

She bared her front teeth a little in response to the deep growl, but didn't move towards him. She guessed he would have protected his mind, but gave communicating a shot anyway.
Who are you, and why have you come here? she asked the dragon, not knowing if he would pick up the question if he had barriers protecting his mind. She shuffled in the sand a little, adjusting her mobility, waiting for a response.

Ioksok stood looking at the sword that Ahmed was holding "Put that pice of junk away if I wanted to kill you, you would have been dead." he said and with a swiflt move ment he brought his sword from its sheath and dissarmed the immigrant.
Fang looked to the dragon further down the shore I am Fang, I go where I please! He bellowed at the strange draron.

But Ahmed still wasnt sure. He twirled around once and rolled to pick it back up. But he didnt point it at the man this time he simply held it for defense. Ahmed looked to his right for a squint second and saw the other dragon father down the shore. "But why would you kill a simple immigrant? That is unless youre vile and cruel like those back on the ship."

"Like I said before If i thought you needed to die, you would be dead." Ioksok said puting his sword away. Fang turned his huge red head toward the dragon farther up the shore. Who are you, why are you here? he bellowed at her.
When the imagrent did not put his sword away Ioksok looked him up and down then sat on a water smothed rock and said "I put my sword away, how bout you do the same."

Kariana splayed her wings out of slight annoyance. It seemed a natural instinct that when meeting another of their species which they weren't sure about, creatures tended to make themselves look bigger and more dangerous. Despite being undoubtedly more inteelignet than a simple animal, it seemed dragons were not excepted from this nature.

She replied with a snap and a few quickened paces forwards, chest puffed out.
I am Kariana, tutee of Hassan, and I don't answer such questions from puny tamed beasts! she roared at him. It seemed her wild side was exposing itself, she could feel the anger scratching inside her, determined to be released, but she still did not feel inclined to attack. She hadn't even meant to insult the dragon, she had just been curious.

Folding her wings once more, she tried to show that she didn't wish to pose a threat, or provoke them into anything they might all regret later.

Ahmed put his sword away too. "And what would give you that thought. I have done nothing wrong. They have." And he nodded in the direction the ship headed out of sight. Ahmed removed his utility belt to dry. it had a bottle, a small bag containing a small amount of money, and a necklace. It was only a trinket for good luck that he snagged off the ship. It had a dragon in the center with a blue jewl in the center. It flashed in the sunlight as he lay it down. His cloak was already almost fully dry and he went to a rock and sat down carefully watching the dragons.

Ioksok looked at Ahmed "Whatch it's allways interesting to see dragons meet." the rider said as he shifted on his rock.
Fang reard and spread his wings to their fullest, and growled. Then seeing the other dragon relax he did the same. He moved closer to the strange dragon, he reached his neck out so it streached as far as it could and he stoped there, and blew out some smoke.

Kariana grinned slightly, and let a tiny amount of flames lick the air in front of her. It was an interesting encounter, and she also stretched her neck closer to get a better look at Fang. She relaxed a little more, and decided to continue the "conversation".

Forgive me Fang, for I apologise for my rude behaviour. Tell me, what brings you specifically to this desolate island, and who do you side with? she asked more politely than last time.
In answer I myself am here for a little "peace and quiet" she grinned again, shifting her weight backwards slightly.

It was now that she decided to take a little more interest in the humans. Crouching slightly, she came lower to examine who she presumed to be Fang's rider, but didn't say anything, still waiting for the dragon's reply.

Ahmed leaned back to watch. Now seeing two actual dragons he was interested to know there ways and he was actually seeing a small amount of it with his own eyes. He was breathless as he was hearing about dragons in his village. He smiled and silently looked between the two dragons.

Fang snorted and shook his head I am here because my rider asked me to take him here, That's all I know. I side with no one but Ioksok. He answerd quickly, and he sides with those who wish the king were dead. Fang sighed and then shifted back into the sand.

"It looks as if they worked every thing out." Ioksok said to Ahmed. Ioksok stood from his rock and walked over to where Fang sat facing the other dragon, He bowed and said "hello I am Ioksok rider of Fang. That gentelman over there is Ahmed." he was pointing to Ahmed.

OOC: Can I join?

OOC: when there is a time when you can get in with out confuseing the story line

OCC: I dont think you would but you should ask firetongue. shes in charage of this adventure.

OOC: According to the rules, a person can join at any time they want.

OOC: You told me you didn't think I could join, so you didn't really tell me anything.

IC: Ghansor came close to tracking the other dragon rider. "My master cannot have one dragonrider out without him being under my master's control" Ghansor thought and he walked a little closer to where Ioksok was. There he saw his dragon and he himself. Sinak was flying close by, but far enough not to cause an uproar. "It's time to attack" Ghansor thought and he and Sinak charged Ioksok.

Kariana snapped her head upwards. Yet another dragon and rider were charging towards them at full speed. In the short time they had met, Kariana had grown to enjoy Fang's company, and felt that these two newcomers didn't have friendly intentions.

Kariana let out an almighty bellow, which echoed around the forest. She was over 2 centuries old. Judging by the size of the new dragon, he was maybe a mere decade. Compared to her, he was tiny. Furiously, she spread her wings, and without hesitating, leaped upwards. Driving her wings down, sand scattered and fled into the wind, which was becoming stronger by the minute.

At a frightening speed, she surged into the skies, now nearly at the same height as the new dragon and its rider. She let out one more blood chilling thunderous roar, and sped forwards, claws and teeth at the ready.

Cassiopeia snuck up behind Ahmed nervously she would never get used to seeing dragons.
"Hi" she said nervously she smiled at him wearily, it was then she noticed the other dragon flying towards them.
"Do these men fight constantly or do they occasionally stop to sleep?" she asked

Ahmed jumped. "Do you have to frighten me so. Please take shelter." He said and he raised his hand up and it glowed blue. One of the dragons had already charged after the invaders as Ahmeds hand launched an ice projectile at the enemy dragon. It flew full speed and little water ice grains flew off of it on its way.

"Why do I never get any peace." Ioksok yelled as he sent Fang in, drawing his sword to fight Ghansor. "I should have killed you, boy." Ioksok called as he and Ghansor circled eachother. "If you leave now i will not kill you." Fang roared in anger as he flung him self of the ground after Kariana.

Cassiopeia raised her eyebrows and smiled.
He thinks i need to hide?
She almost laughed before calling upon the fire inside her and prepared to attack.
Circe would never forgive her if she failed.

OOC: Did you know Ioksok was leaving?

IC: Ghansor got up and charged Ahmed by the time he struck and brought the blade down.

Ahmed barely sidestepped in time but then he too drew his sword and he clashed its blade with the enemies. Two dragons were in the air and Ahmed couldnt tell wether or not they were fighting. The sun was blinding and it gleamed off Ahmeds medallion which still lie on the ground.



OCC: no i didnt know he was leaving.

Cassiopeia drew her sword and went to help Ahmed, unsure of whether he'd need it or not.
She thrust her sword towards his heart and stood beside Ahmed.
Luciel could you come and help me?
I'm already here

Swiftly, Kariana made a vicious collision with the other dragon. Due to her gargantuan weight and size, the two of them were thrown astray, continuing in the momentum of Kariana's flight.

With the wind growing forever stronger, she began to snap violently around his neck. She was a wild dragon after all, who were known for their ferocity throughout the old stories.

In an instant, she released the smaller dragon, and swept up above him, planning to claw at his delicate wings next...

"Fang" Ioksok called his dragon came to him, "Let's get going." he jumped up onto the red's back and he took wing. There were not many places for him to hide but he found a cave that was suitible. "What was he doing." Ioksok yelled.
I don't know, but Sinak said he was sorry. Fang said thinking he cleared every thing up. We will be fine Ioksok, no one will find us here.

Ghanosr had been speaking with Sinak as the duel was going on and he discovered that Galbatorix had another servant rider, "My apoligies Ioksok, you rest while I deal with the rest" thought said Ghansor to Ioksok as he dueled away with Cassiopia. Sinak flew overhead, fighting with the other dragon trying to get a lead on her before he was injured badly enough.

Ahmed decided to help Cassiopeia instead of watching. he drew his bow and knocked an arrow waiting for her to move so he could get a clear shot. he aimed but didnt fire as Cassiopeia was always in front of his target.
