Post The Past Glory
Ignitus was on Emraldor's saddle, gliding through the air with a quiver over his back filled with arrows, and a large pack of food on his side. Emraldor's neck-spikes took a halt at where Ignitus sat.

The two had been flying for the past hours, and were awaiting the arrival of Vroengard, former history and location of the Riders, in hope a fellow Dragon Rider would be in the ruins of the last battle. Ignitus knew he had barely a chance, only the slightest hope, that they would arrive to the Varden's new base, but it would be basically impossible - many elves did not have dragons to fly across, and getting a ship from a nearby dock would take a day at least.

The island came into view, quicker and quicker, as Emraldor's wings pushed faster and faster in the air. He manuevered his tail in a graceful fashion and they ejected into speed Ignitus thought impossible from his dragon. They were blasting through the air, blazing past the dark sky, under the glistening moon, and then by a landing bay, which was burnt out and the wood pieces scattered.

Can we land here? Ignitus asked.

From what the human saw, the dragon's neck bowed in a nod, and then they took land on a small knoll. But there was a flash of green light from straight behind them, and Ignitus could feel dizziness, he could feel Emraldor's dizziness, he could feel pain in his chest. He retched, reached for his sword, but his arm missed, and he fell to the floor.

IC: Eriel stepped forwards, her hair flying in the slight breeze with her dragon behind her. Eriel walked over to the human and knelt beside him, she removed her right vambrace and placed it her hand on his head. "I think I overdid it..." She said to herself softly then went to his dragon. Emrhyst nudged Emraldor gently. Lets just bring them back. Eriel nodded her head in agreement and carried the human in a small wooden bed she sang out of a tree while Emrhyst carried the dragon by her talons, taking great care not to pierce his scales. They started the slow walk back to Eriel's temporary hideout on the island.

Reb was doubled over her saddle horn. Pain shooting through her back. She had just escaped Galby. She had been tortured beyond thinkable and she had barely any strength left. Reb had shut out her dragon and had not told her any of this, for she didn't want her dragon feeling the pain or know what had happened to her rider. They just would have captured her as well. She forced herself to sit up straight and let Cobalt slowly walk forwards. She gritted her teeth against her pain and kept her eyes ahead of her. And what she saw almost made her cry out with joy. Eriel was there, along with another person. But her thoughts turned ot the angry black dragon that landed before her. Star Gazer. Reb let out a semi angry-semi happy cry and litteraly fell from her saddle to the grass.
Star lunged for Reb. " How? I would have helped you." She said shaking her head as she gently lifted her rider from the ground and sat her back upon her steed. Star shook her head again, and noticed for the first time the other people.

Ignitus quickly regained consiousness and found himself on what seemed like a comfertable, wooden bed. It took time to recall what had happened, but he got used to the sharp throbbing in the back of his head.

He got up and looked around, to find nobody there, not even Emraldor ... things began to grow suspiciously. He was alone in the forest where anything wild could attack him; he found the small puch of food next to him, and he began to eat a loaf of bread.

Something cracked through a small tree; Ignitus unsheathed his sword and shouted, "Who's there?"

Eriel stared at Reb for a second then quickly ran towards her. Her eyes showing both happiness and anxiety. She quickly lead the trio to her hideout. "You guys stay here, I'll check on Ignitus." She smiled and said. "Rest well Reb, I will tend to your wounds later if you can't do so yourself." She walked off with a smile and headed towards Ignitus.
What he asked startled her. "Who am I? shouldn't I be asking you that? I bring you into my house, provide you with food, and you dare show me your blade in an act of offense?" She glared at him in anger then relaxed, a little. Emrhyst landed with Emraldor on her back, she had taken extensive care not to impale him on her spikes and the effort had tired her out. That was one heavy dragon... She thought to herself.

"Oh, sorry ..." was Ignitus' reply to Eriel.
He shuffled his sword away and looked around. He was quite impressed, compared to what he had lived in before.
"Who are you?" he asked. "And where are you?"

OOC: Sorry for inactiveness, been ill and stayed off computer for a while.

Eriel sighed and laughed softly. "Its okay. As for who I am." She walked afew paces towards him. "I think I should ask you that first. And as for where we are, well... Let's just say we're in a... Small forest on the island." She smiled at him gently and placed his sword onto his lap with magic. Before she walked off, she added, "I'll be back soon. Your dragon is behind you incase you havn't noticed." She laughed again and walked off to Reb.

Reb slowly peeled her split pants leg away from the deep gash in her leg. She sighed and reached into her saddle bag and grabbed alcohol. She slowly poured it into the wound to prevent infection. She grit her teeth and set it aside and then bandaged her leg.

What do you think, Emraldor? Ignitus asked.

The emerald dragon behind him snorted smoke from his snout.

It was hard to know whether to trust this girl, who had let him take refuge in her house, yet who had put him her in the first place. It was dangerous, and Ignitus did not even know what island she meant. Unless, of course -

He had reached Vroengard.

" I'll live." Reb replied and slowly leaned back and closed her eyes. Lying her head on the grass. Star shook her head. " If you had let me know I could have prevented this." Star said in a low growl. Reb sat up angrily.
" Yes I could have told you, but then you would have been in as much pain or more because of me." Reb angrily.
" But you wouldn't have been alone." Star growled.
" This subject is over. I'm tired of it and I hurt." Reb said and reclosed her eyes.

OOC: Due time for Faefnir to come in. lol

Faefnir had been to Vroengard before. He knew the geography of the barren island and the creatures that lurked on it's surface. He had long known that someone had come here, so he decided to investigate. It wasn't long before he sensed his mate on it, along with Eriel, all of whom were connected by the stones back on the Mountain. Teranor and Navarre clung to his back, enjoying the flight and anxious to finally see the ancient home of the Riders. Faefnir insisted that they remain behind with the Stag, but neither of them wanted to stay behind. Faefnir heralded his approach as he got close to their location and spiraled downwards to land.

The excitement was beyond anything he could believe, but there were still so many questions to still answer? How had his saviour had attacked him from the air? Why was she not excited beyond all belief when she saw a dragon? Why did she not finish him off?

It made the whole thing so eerie, so suspicious; Ignitus knew that even trusting Emraldor would be risking his life now.

He then caught sight of two other people. One was Eriel, of whom he knew, but there was somebody else, someone that felt slightly odd, likfe fire, like pain, like a Shade. Ignitus stood hidden and warned Emraldor of Eriel helping a Shade onto the island. Perhaps a conspiracy against a Dragon Rider they found? Maybe the Shade was there to help with the torture? Did Ignitus know somethiung they did not?

Emrhyst roared happily as both Feafnir and his children landed on the island. Welcome to Vreongard great dragon. She laughed lightly. Eriel acknoledged Feafnir's arrival with a wave of her hand then proceeded to Reb. "I'm not trying to chide you but I think Star Gazer is right. Anyway, tell me how that old man caught you while I heal the remainder of your wounds." She said then removed her vambraces and pulled down a little of Reb's gloves. "Ouch..." She said to herself. "Deloi." She said that and watched untill all the dirt inside had come out. "Adurna." Eriel winced mentally as she felt Reb cringe a little as ice-cold water flowed into her would. "Just a little more Reb." She told her. "Waise heill." Eriel placed her Ignasia on the wound and waited for it to heal.

Reb stilled as she sensed being watched. She slowly turned her head and thought she caught the glimpse of a shadow. Her natural survival instincts kicked in. She smiled slowly at Eriel, and pulled her hands free. She stood up and looked towards where the shadow was. Her clothes turned to fire as she transformed into Zantya.
Star Gazer swarmed towards her children. " Faefnir! What are you doing here? I thought I left you with the stag. How did you know I was here?" She asked as Navarre and Teranor attacked her. " Hey. Has he been good?" She asked Teranor and Navarre happily. But then she sensed what Zantya did. She slowly turned and stared into the shadows. She watched Zantya slowly aproach the trees. Her sword out, and the blade on fire. Her hair flying about her. Star Gazer shook her head. " Zantya! Just call a warning. No attacking before you ask questions." Star warned. Zantya turned to aknowledge her dragon.
Zantya sheathed her sword and drew her dagger. " Come out who ever you are. I know your there. I'm never wrong." She called.

Teranor replied in his usual tone. I missed you! I don't like staying behind with dad in the boring old desert! Faefnir looked down shocked at him. OH, come on now, buddy. Your really old man couldn't be that bad, now could he? Navarre rolled her eyes at her twin brother. Mother, I just wanted to see Vroengard. Father has told me so much about it, I wanted to see it for myself. Faefnir nodded his head. She and I are too alike. She's so curious about her world.

"Don't fool with Zantya, she's a most... special person yes?" She laughed then placed his sword back in its sheath. "You won't need it here, we're all friends, unless you might be working for the Empire?" She fixed her eyes upon him.

"I do not work for the Empire; however, I do not work for the Varden." Best to keep things suspicious here, Ignitus did not know what could happen.
For some reason, he started circling Eriel and began to examine her. "And who do you work for?"
Ignitus grabbed his sword and held it firm by his side.

Star prummed with happyness, ignoring her rider because she knew Zantya could handle herself.

Eriel rolled her eyes and told Zantya mentally to stay back, her tone was firm yet gentle as she examined Ignitus. Eriel laughed softly. "It is not really fair to say that I work for the Varden. I do not. I work for the elves and those who do not oppose them. Now," She said icily. "Sheath your blade or I'll sheath it for you after I finish wiping it on your blood-stained tunic." She drew her sword and wrapped it in thorny vines in an attempt to minimize the damage dealt towards him and to mock him. In a hand was her blade, in the other, a ball of fire with an ice core.

OOC: Sorry for going out of turn but I had to reply to it. Anyway, I think the order is,
Ignitus,
Eriel,
Star,
