Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
On your iPod, go into shuffle. What are the first five songs that come up? Of course, they vary. Basically post here everytime you've updated and comment on your songs for others that are looking for new music. It works great.
Mine right now are:
Eminem ~ Hello I don't know, this song isn't really special, I just like it =]
Dido ~ White Flag Well then, that's something different. I don't even listen to Dido much unless I really feel kinda in the mood. But this is my favourite song of theirs.
Korn ~ Falling Away From Me Lol.?
Bring Me The Horizon ~ Medusa Love this song, great screamo.
Aqua ~ Barbie Girl ...
Whoa, that's officially the worst shuffle ever.
*tries once more* Elfen Lied ~ Lilium WHOA, YES!
My music isn't really this bad. I Promise.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Future Prophecies - Miniamba Pretty good, if slow, Drum and Bass. Awesome vocal work.
Rage Against The Machine - Down Rodeo Awesome song from one of the best bands in history. Never heard a bad song from them.
Joker - Stuck In The System Looovely Grime from Joker. Gotta love his style, completely unique.
Cannibal Ox - Raspberry Fields One of the best songs from one of the best artists EVER. These guys made a huge impression on me, their lyrics always hit me hard.
Think yourself lucky that none of these songs were ones by Enduser, UNKLE or Venetian Snares, or you'd get an hour long lecture about each one >_>

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Puddle of Mudd ~ Psycho Awesome song Korn ~ Coming Undone Probably one of my favorite artists ever. They are my angry music often. Within Temptation ~ What Have You Done Holy cow, Sharon Den Adel has the voice of an angel. That woman can sing Murder By Death ~Dynamite Mine I love Murder By Death's old bardic style. Each of their songs tell a story Alkaline Trio ~ Every Thug Needs A Lady Umm... Matt Skiba has a great voice?

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
My turn!! Wait, can we post again after we've gone once?
By the way, I don't have an iPod, I have a Cowon. There's really no need to get specific though, since it also has the Shuffle feature. I think everything does nowadays.
Anyway, here you go: 1.) Paramore - Fences
2.) Breaking Benjamin - Had Enough
3.) Paramore - My Heart
4.) Linkin Park - A Place For My Head
5.) Breaking Benjamin - Firefly
Wow, two songs by Paramore and Breaking Benjamin each. I promise, I didn't cheat at all, my Cowon just works like that. Maybe next time I'll get a bit more variety.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
I got a lot of new music lately, so I'm having another go.
Instra:Mental - Watching You Oh god, this song brings tears to my eyes... It's so beautiful... sooo beautiful... Those vocals... Ooooh... Q__Q
Gravious - Wormsign Brings me back some memories, one of the first deep Dubstep tracks I ever heard, and it converted me to liking the genre.
Authority Zero - Everyday Wow, talk about a blast from the past, I haven't heard this in ages! I suppose you could call it skate punk or something, either way it's a great song.
The Angelic Process - Million Year Summer Unexplainable. So incredible, words can't describe it. The audible equivalent of standing under a rain of burning souls. If there is a god, his crying sounds like this.
Burial - Ghost Hardware Ah, Burial, my old friend... Your music has made an impression on me. It has changed my life. Thanks.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Cool songs, guys!!
Okay, I'm back for another go at this. Hopefully I'll get more variety here. Oh, and also, in my first post, I forgot to give a description of the songs. Sorry!
Anyway, here we go:
1.) Water - Breaking Benjamin Eh, this is one of their old songs, and I didn't like most of their music back then. So not a very good song in my opinion.
2.) Ordinary World - RED Finally, RED! This was a cover by them, and after listening to the original, I'd say this was at least 10x better and an overall great song!
3.) Sooner or Later - Breaking Benjamin Okay, dude, this is my 4th one out of 8 songs total so far by this band. Seriously? Anyway, another older song by them, not outstanding really, but better than Water.
4.) Halfway There - Rise Against Booya! A very great song by them, definitely the best off its album. The singer also does exceptional screaming at one part.
5.) Faint - Linkin Park An older song by LP, yet one of my favorites. Brings back good memories of being young and just discovering music. Awesome song!

I would go again, since I have nothing better to do, but I'll give others a chance to have their first before I have a third.
Flesh, is the song She's Got Issues by The Offspring any good? I've heard their song You're Gonna Go Far Kid, and I liked it a lot.

I've only heard of Within Temptation and Chris Daughtry from your list, I'm sorry to say. Is the song In Perfect Harmony by WT good?
I'm going to do this again, because I've waited long enough!
1.) Circles - Hollywood Undead I saw an AMV on Youtube with this song, and I kind of liked it, which made me download it. It's a nice song, one of the few I like by that band.
2.) From Yesterday - 30 Seconds to Mars Again, I saw an AMV with this song! It's pretty cool, the best of the little I know by that band.
3.) Predictable - Good Charlotte I used to listen to this song a long time ago, and just recently I remembered it, so I downloaded it again. Very meaningful and nice!
4.) Our Solemn Hour - Within Temptation Lol, another song discovered from an AMV. Very dramatic and intense song!
5.) Points of Authority - Linkin Park Awesome song by LP! It has amazing turntable in it also!

Lol, I guess that's me. You guys have some really unique music; I don't think I've heard any of the songs or artists you guys posted.
This time I'm gonna do it on my computer in Windows Media Player. I hope that's not against the rules. I don't feel like getting my Cowon out of my backpack.
1.) Sweet Sacrifice - Evanescence A pretty cool song from their album The Open Door.
2.) Far Away - Nickelback I don't really like this song, so I don't know why I have it.
3.) This Circle - Paramore A great band, but I don't really like this song.
4.) A Promise - Dead by April An awesome band and an awesome song that I only recently found out about!
5.) Anywhere But Here - Rise Against One of their best songs, I really like it.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Wait, Australians can rap? xD
I must be old... the only artists of those I've listened to for than twice are Slim and Linkin Park. xD
1. Indigo Sky - Coast Not bad, not bad at all. Still, he's come along way from there.
2. Open you eyes - Snow Patrol I hate this song. I don't know why I have it.
3. White as Snow - U2 One of my favorites off their new album; from the POV of an American soldier from as he lays dying in Afghanistan.
4. Paradise - Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band Beautiful, haunting song having to do with suicide bombings.
5. Strawberry Swing - Coldplay Blehhh, mediocre. I only truly like one of their songs (hint: not this one), but I've still got all of the Viva La Vida album. >.<

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
alright, let's have a go. hopefully this won't come out too bad...
Pensando En Ti - Rakim & Ken-Y
great start, something none of you understand. haha.
Me Estas Tentando(Remix) - Wisin & Yandel ft. Franco El Gorila and Jayko.
whoo, a you-don't-know-about-my-music-in-english-yet-streak. haha.
All Up 2 You - Aventura ft. Wisin & Yandel and Akon
hmm... maybe getting warmer. but not really. you probably only know Akon. lol
1. Let The Flames Begin (Live) by Paramore This is off their live album, and the added "Oh Father" outro is really touching. I hope they play it when I see them =]
2. Utopia by Within Temptation This is their new song from their acoustic album. I like it a lot. Amazing singing.
3. What If by Safetysuit I personally really love this song... and it's so soothing and beautiful. My favorite by them.
4. All Fall Down by OneRepublic Cool song, the only one I know that has a violin solo. Reminds me of a rainy day.
5. Seventeen Ain't So Sweet by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Lol I can relate to this song... or I did, when I was 17. Nonetheless, good message.

You guys forgot to give a little description the songs that came!
(This must be the 10th time I'm doing this! What a dweeb!): 1.) Too Late - Dead by Sunrise My favorite song by this band! Very memorable guitar and lyrics! 2.) Savior - Skillet I kind of like this song; it surprises you when the heavy guitar comes in. 3.) In Between - Linkin Park I never really liked this song too much... maybe I should pay more attention to it. 4.) Mercy - OneRepublic When I first listened to this song, the chorus really caught my attention! It gets you into the song for sure. 5.) Forgotten - Linkin Park An okay song, but not the best by Linkin Park. I admire its fast pace and rhythm.

1. Jega - Cascade Decoherence What can I say? Jega is awesome, I've never heard a bad track by him. And I love glitch music in general.
2. Alice In Chains - Over Now Ha, good ol' Alice In Chains. They can lift me up and put me down at the same time.
3. Nujabes feat. Uyama Hiroto - Modal Soul Wow, my eyes are welling up. I love Nujabes' music so much! It's like he poured a load of passion, warmth and beauty into a bowl and mixed it together. It still vexxes me that he had to pass away. R.I.P friend, you'll live on in your work.
4. The Angelic Process - The Sun In Braids Wow, that's a pretty striking coincidence. Another musical act halted by an artist's untimely death. Another musical act that provokes emotional responses from me every time. Except instead of in the way Nujabes does, this is more likenable to a gigantic blast of heat engulfing you in an inferno of every feeling you've ever known, and leaving you burned out and feeling like a thousand universes just collapsed inside your chest.
Yeah, that sums up The Angelic Process pretty well.
5. ikd-sj - Genocide Ah, ikd-sj, I've been listening to this band a lot lately (as my last.fm profile will tell you). An interesting combination of slurred and broken English / Japanese / god knows what else, awesome heavyness, quiet ambience and trippy (and sometimes just downright weird) experimentation. I love it!

-Slow Me Down -Emmy Rossum I love this song, reminds me a lot of the band Metric so I would reccommend it to people who like Metric. -Letting go (Dutty Love) feat Nicki Minaj-Sean Kingston I love this song. It reminds me a lot of summer and is really catchy. Hello Good Morning feat TI -Diddy Sticks in my head easily, first heard it on Teen Choice awards 2010 -No Way- Lady Gaga This song is great but you may not be able to get it. My dad has a program that records Internet radio. (I might be called Radioshark but I am not sure. If you want to here it you can go on iTunes go to radio under library and open up Top 40/pop and click on Lady GaGa monster radio which plays unused songs and demos. -2012 feat Nicki Minaj- Jay Sean It's a pretty good song, I have never heard it on anything else besides Internet Radio -Over-Drake A personal favourite, Drake's talent really comes out in this song

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Let's give this a try. Most likely that there are going to be all Two Steps From Hell songs. . .
1. Shadow of Beauty - TSFH
Perfect opening song! I love this piece, because it's so calming, and gentle. Almost like the shire theme from Lord of the Rings, but not as country-ish. But then it ends darkly for some reason maybe for the next song. . .
2. Power of Darkness - TSFH
Yep, I was right! This is a very dark song. With heavy electric guitar riffs mixed into the orchestral, it makes you think about a chase. The hero being chased by a band of dark characters on horseback. Are we actually piecing together a story with this music? I guess so, Ved. But we'll just have to wait and see where it goes next.
3. Saria's Song - Legend of Zelda.
O.o?? Guess not Bris. Ha ha.
4. Gothic Cowboy - TSFH
Oh yes, a good dark techno song. I can imagine a guy with a rifle surrounded by zombies with this. Of course though, he's pwning everything in his path. Well, guess to see what the last one is. . .
5. Exhumed. No Laughter. - TSFH
Oh why did it have to be this song? This sounds like the theme of a rampant maniacal serial killer. -_- (At least it's not the version WITH laughter. That sounds just evil) Then why did you download it? No idea. . .

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
Alright, new songs from my favorite group, TSFH, on my iPod, time for another go. . .
1. Hidden Beauty - TSFH
A dreamscape from the Dreams and Imaginations album. Has a lot of ringing mystical tones, and soft orchestra, but not really a 'song'. If on repeat, and playing through the night, it gives you some pretty interesting dreams.
2. Battle at Sea - TSFH
A very movie-like score. But not pirate era music. More like ancient sea battles in the ancient times with bows and arrows. Not one of my faves, but pretty good.
3. It's the Season for Love - TSFH
Makes me think of Christmas. Full orchestra and choir combine to make a very heartwarming musical production. I like it. (Just wish it wasn't so short)
4. Two Steps From Heaven - TSFH
Pretty ironic since the composer group's name is 'Two Steps From Hell'. But that aside, this is pretty good. Very light and joyous, but nothing special.
Hmm. . . Wasn't an epic shuffle, was it?
Guess not.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
AGAIN!!!
1. Equus - TSFH
Oooh, pretty sad beginning to a 5 song shuffle. The slow beat and single voice makes you imagine a single survivor of a disaster, climbing to the top of a hill, and when he reaches the top, he sees his world destroyed. Either that, or a last stand in which they know that they are doomed to die, yet they fight. They fight until the last man falls.
Strange though, that they would use the latin name for Horse as the song.
2. Promise - TSFH
Ah, one of my absolute faves. This song is amazing if you want to relax and let your imagination soar. The solo cello and gentle voiced vocalist, along with soft techno noise and orchestra match perfectly. Makes you imagine great, wide open landscapes of green, or flying.
3. Mmmmm Chicken - TSFH
o_O Strange. Very strange. Almost a perfect soundtrack for sneaking in a large building, making sure that you're not seen. A chicken in a kitchen running from the cook, maybe?
4. Front Line - TSFH
. . . Meh. Not one of TSFH's best for certain. Not much to say about this one. . .
5. Gothic Cowboy - TSFH
A techno song from the Pathogen album. Not bad. Not bad at all. Makes you want to shoot some zombies for some reason, and walk around cooly with sunglasses and a shotgun.

Re: Your first 5 songs on Shuffle
I think I'll do this again.
Fat Jon - Turais Not one that stood out to me on this album, but still a nice mellow beat that's worth listening to.
Burial - Shell Of Light My god... it's been too long, Burial. Just hearing this makes me happy and sad at the same time, the amount of emotional connotation that it's become linked with for me over the years, along with the rest of the album.
Nujabes + MINMI - Who's Theme One of the most blissfully happy, warm and relaxing things I have ever heard in my life. Also a prime example of why hip hop is really more than meets the eye, and probably holds a lot more diversity than most other genres contrary to popular belief.
Gojira - The Silver Cord A nice, melancholic and relatively relaxed contrast to an album that spends most of its time bashing your brains in.
ikd-sj - Whiz Words cannot even describe my feelings toward this band and this song. They may not sound particularly special, but something about their music (and this song in particular) really strikes a powerful chord inside me. According to last.fm, they're my all time most listened band. I did the math and they actually make up about a tenth of my total number of listens.

Strange enough I this song really makes sense to me.
5.) Drunk Kid Catholic - Bright Eyes I love this song mainly because of the part about sleeping alone.
