ok this my opinion based on what ive read on this and other sites and what ive read from
the books.

eragon and roran kill razac

They find the egg in Helgrind

They take it back and it hatches for arya

she and eragon finish training in elesmera with oromis

sometime before they leave or the final battle, eragon finds the weapon under the menoa tree* and speaks his name to the vault of souls**.

once the dragon is perhaps 6 mo old, they rejoin the varden, whose ranks have been swelled by dwarves and elves

they march to Ur'rubaen, where the final battle takes place

arya and eragon take on galby and murtagh

arya fights murtagh and thorn, leaving galby and shruikan to eragon and saphira. in the following struggle, eragon barely defeats galby, and slays him at the very gates of Ur'rubaen, formerly the elven city Ilirea, and saphira kills shruikan.

Arya either kills or defeats murtagh. many dwarves and humans are killed, but the varden defeat the empire

the elves are nearly wiped out leaving only a handful left alive

eragon and arya help create a new rule for alagasia, ruled either by Nasuada, Orin, Roran, who marries Katrina, or someone else.

the remaining elves, eragon, saphira, and aryas dragon leave for Alalea, the elves home land, to rebuild the races of elves and dragons (eragon's dream p. 81 Eragon)

other events such as oromis's death (he was worried about the time he'd have to train Eragon) come some where throughout the story but i'm not sure when. his death will likely come either after the final victory or after eragon finishes training and must go.

*the menoa tree is beleived to mean several things, but i take it literally, the weapon will be under it.

**Kuthian and the Vault of Souls im less sure about, but i beleive that he will be given advice from past riders and secrets revealed, etc; given words in the ancient language to help him or even the name of the language itself, or given the incredible power necessary to defeat Galbatorix.

that is my opinion, please give yours or where you agree or dissagree with me, just don't quote the whole passage!!

Why do people have the belief that the egg's at Helgrind? It's with Galby. Arya wont be rider and you don't mention Eragon's family at all. It's alright, but could use a lot of work.

Because, the Ra'zac are impossible to beat(with normal ppl) and Galby is a pansy. And its the Ra'zac's home..no one dares to go there, its the perfect place.

But everyone, from Saphira, Arya, Brom, have said it's with Galby. Saphira was with Galby. Thorn was with Galby. Why would this dragon be different?

#1. Saphira(blue egg) was stolen from him thru a secret tunnel. This menas that he would wnat it in a secret(or better) place so it wouldnt be stolen.

thank you fronzz. if its not at helgrind, then where would it be? because if its with galby than its all but impossible to get until the end of the book, and i think (hope) the rider will be introduced soon in the novel. not to mention that everyone would think galby would have it not the razac

and the reason i said arya is it has to be a trained magic user because it took eragon 6-8 monthes of actual training to become half-way decent, and that was rushed training, crammed in a small amount of time, and he couldn't beat murtagh, and there wont be enough time to train a normal person.

But the dragon wont choose the most convenient person. It would choose the one it matches. And Galby is ten times stronger then the Ra' Zac. How long has he been a pansy? If anything he would just prop the egg up by his throne.

that makes since but just because the Varden need a second rider to deal with murtagh while eragon kills galby, so if its with galby then thats pretty much impossible.

In my oppinion very accurate but i disagree who the rider will be.
